It is rare for a Châteauneuf producer to release a wine made with 100% Syrah. The challenge lies in getting the balance of ripeness and structure just right, during the hot Provincial summer. Philippe Bravay manages to give us elegance and drive – pure blueberries and velvety structure. If you’ve got smoked brisket on the go, or a nice Côte de Boeuf on the charcoal grill, then you’ll want to drink something like this. A dark and brooding wine from one of Châteauneuf’s star growers.
