Hervé Souhaut Romaneaux-d’Estezet Blanc 2022
Hervé Souhaut has found cult status recently amongst wine lovers. He joins a select number of producers in the Northern Rhône who choose to use entirely whole bunches and semi-carbonic maceration in the cellar. The Domaine sits just north of hailed Hermitage in the village of Arlebosc, in Saint-Joseph, where Hervé works his five hectares of estate vines that range from ten to one hundred years old. His Viognier Roussanne blend is an exotic sun-dance of fresh apples, pineapple and figs, with skinsy texture and hints of oak from ageing in second-hand casks. A kingfish tartare with lemon and coriander would sit perfectly well.
