Bordeaux
If you’re into bold structure, dark fruits and brooding nuances, then this is where you want to be. Typically you'll find Cabernet Sauvignon dominant wines from the left bank and Merlot from the right bank around the town of Saint-Émilion. There are always exceptions however and producers are becoming more adventurous with the appellation rules.
When the season is good in Bordeaux, expect fruit-full wines that will age for decades. Our examples focus on smaller producers with a less hands on approach and the most drinkability.
