Domaine de Bellivière Rouge-Gorge Coteaux du Loir 2021
If you're looking for a lunchtime wine that is light in style, yet has enough depth and complexity to elevate the cuisine and impress your guests, then look no further. Made from one hundred percent Pinot d'Aunis, a variety native to the Loire, it's got dark blackberry fruit, spice and peppery structure, all the while being linear and mouth-watering. Think in terms of Beaujolais but slightly lighter in tone. The fruit comes from a blend of three communes along the Loire Valley; Lhomme, Chahaignes and Marçon. It's hand harvested, fermented in large vats and aged on a blend of neutral concrete vessels and old oak casks. Luscious and satisfying.
