The Maverick of Muscadet Jérôme Bretaudeau works from a veritable science experiment of a winery, in the industrial sector of Clisson. Revolutionising the classic Melon de Bourgogne that we expect from Muscadet, and experimenting with varieties not permitted in the appellation, such as Chardonnay and Merlot.
Muscadet Gabbro has the hint of the Burgundian about it. Gabbro refers to the soil composition of which is Jérôme's chief focus when it comes to his terroir. It's fuller fruit and spicy overtones make it slightly in the range of Chablis, which reads as delightful citrus and floral aromas.
