Domaine Zind-Humbrecht Turckheim Gewürztraminer 2021
A delectable example from one of Alsace most respected producers. The village of Turckheim is located around 5kms to the west of Colmar, and boasts a large production which predominately finds its way into co-operative cellars. Zind-Humbrecht is a relatively small family owned production at 40 hectares. Organic and biodynamic fruit only. Delightful example of Gewürztraminer – Lychees, pear with classic rosewater and ginger spice undertones. There is a touch of residual sugar, but less detectable due to fleshy acidity. If you’re so inclined, then some crumbed lambs brains or veal sweetbreads would be ideal.
